Work that fits between the other things you already do

Four employer briefs, each written for someone who cannot give up a whole day. You nominate the hours, the employer works around them, and training happens before anything goes live.

What is open

Four briefs, listed in the order they came in

Scroll down the line and the marker fills as you go. Each stop is a separate employer with its own rate and its own idea of a useful week.

About HyreStride

A short list, kept short on purpose

We carry four briefs and no more. Anything longer and we stop being able to answer questions about them properly, which is the only thing that makes a small listings desk worth using. Employers come to us because their opening would vanish on a national job board; applicants stay because someone here has actually read the brief they are asking about.

The process

What actually happens after you press send

1

Form

Name, hours you can cover, and which brief you are answering.

2

WhatsApp

Our HR sends the full brief so you can read it before deciding.

3

Training

Around two hours online with the employer, notes kept afterwards.

4

Roster

You nominate blocks and the employer confirms them in writing.

Applicant notes

Sent back to us unprompted

“I do three afternoons while my partner is at work. Nobody has ever asked me to stretch past that.”

Nadia — Ulladulla

“Reading the brief on WhatsApp first mattered. I could think about it overnight instead of deciding on the spot.”

Grant — Batemans Bay

“The checklist means I never have to invent an answer. That took the anxiety straight out of it for me.”

Fiona — Nowra

Questions

The conversation we have most often

Do I need to have done something like this before?
Not at all. The four briefs were written on the assumption that you have not. Employers train you first and screen on availability, which is why the form asks about your hours and not your history.
How much am I committing to?
Only the blocks you nominate. There is no weekly minimum in any of the four briefs, and people regularly move between one block and five as their term or season changes.
What do I need set up at home?
A working computer, internet that stays up for the length of a block, and somewhere quiet. None of these four involve phone calls, so a headset is optional rather than expected.
Is the training paid?
It depends on the employer, and their brief says so plainly. We do not average it out here because getting that wrong would turn up in your first payslip and we would rather not be the reason.
Who is actually employing me?
Whoever wrote the brief you replied to. They confirm the roster and pay you on their own schedule. HyreStride introduces you and takes nothing from your rate.
Will anything cost me money?
No, at no point. If anyone using our name asks you for a fee, a password or bank details, stop and email the address in the contact panel below.
